Recently I had the opportunity and pleasure of photographing the launch events of Melbourne Leather, a new endeavor that aims to support and unify Melbournes leather community.
With a focus on advocacy and empowerment their values deeply align with my own, as such I was thrilled to help make the launch a memorable one for all in attendance. The support from the community was amazing to see and it’s clear that members want to see this organisation succeed!
One of the challenges faced by those new to the fetish scene is finding their tribe, a community they feel comfortable with and connected to. Having community organisations to look towards for advocacy and inclusion, to make new people feel welcomed is so important.
The more we can support these initiatives the better our community is as a whole.
We get to have more and better representation in society
We get to have more opportunites for social events and venues
We can help each other to grow and thrive
